Hi Carol

I've always found a great response from this forum. What have you been writing about?

Hi Carol, I have never been to Lanzarote but I have found lots of sites which have info on the various hotels etc there - try some of the following it may help you decide after you have read some of the reviews.

www.tripadvisor.com
holidaysuncovered.co.uk
holidaytruths

There is also a travel agency which specialises in the Canary Islands which has excellent reviews by the lady who runs www.madaboutbargains.co.uk(another excellent site) the company can be found on the following site:

www.securitytravel.co.uk

Have a look at their site it is pretty good on prices and when I telephoned them for info on hotels in Playa Blanca they were really helpful.

Sorry can't help further but these sites may help you.

Hi carol.
Well here's another reply for you. (you'll probably be inundated with them now!!) I've been to Costa Teg. 3 times and I'm going again next month, but I havent stayed at El Trebol and I dont know exactly where they're located.Iwould think that if they're pretty central you should be ok. It depends what you're expecting. Most s/c appartments are pretty basic but theyre comfy and serve their purpose. After all you dont go all that way to sit in all the time do you? I ve just looked on the somewheretostay website cos I know they're listed on there, but it doesn't give much info, although it does say that they're 500 metres away from las cucharas beach. I stayed at Club sirocco last July and it was a pretty long hike to the centre of the resort which sort of spoiled it a bit cos thats where the kids wanted to be. Anyway, I'm sure you'll have a good Holiday. wherever you stay. Make sure you go and see the volcano and the caves, they're amazing!!
All the best,
Lucy

Hi Carol

The El Trebol is a 3 star complex not close to the main drag in Costa Teguise. It's quite old and a lot of hotels, apartments have been built in the surrounding areas. Haven't heard any first hand comments but my Sister lives in Costa Teguise so she's going to make enquiries later and I'll update you. In the meantime log onto www.icanarias.com - you'll find El Trebol in the "Hotels" section, there are some pics (I have to say looks nice, large pool etc) and also some opinions.

So for 3 star it's not going to be the "Ritz" but I'd expect it to be basic but clean.

I'll keep you posted .

Cheers
Ann

Hi
Kazzy, Lucy & Anne

Thanks for your info I have been looking at sites that you have mentioned
and as you know A Holiday Is What You Make Of It , I think after reading reviews on holidaysuncovered I was feeling a bit doubtful about where we had booked and as its xmas you want to try and make it special, the reviews are really 50/50 but as mentioned its only 3 star I felt what we have paid was expensive for the holiday. But I've booked it now - can change if I want for £30.00 that is why I was asking for opinions as I was wondering whether to change to a hotel that was recomended. I must admit I booked the holiday early to save money with Cosmos and have seen cheaper holidays by far from Airtours and for the same hotel - £150 per person cheaper at the same hotel.

Anyway thanks for all replies have to visit www.icanarias.com only one I have not looked at yet

See ya Soon

Carol
Thanks again for your replies, much appreciated
