Recommendations... Food

Ok... we've got the accomodation thread - so let's talk about where we most like to eat. And no arguments about how you like your steak cooked lol.

My favourite so far has been Brisa Marina on the beachfront at Playa Blanca. Great food, great service, great views across to Ace Ventura (thanks Will), and very reasonably priced too. Their fish soup is fantastic.

La Provence in Costa Teguise is always good - and you can't beat the Filling Station for a 3am pizza!

Elle - have you been to Artista and the bar below - Galleria del sol?

Not bad pizzas by lanzarote standards and if you can get the window seat at Gallerria as the sun goes down...happy days!

Try Romanaticas fish soup too!

In Pto del Carmen La Cañada is superb, round the corner from Mcdonalds, and in the old town La Bodeguita is very good. For pasta, near the Casino you find La Trattoria in Barcarola or La Rosa de Bari. There´s another Trattoria in front of fariones Hotel. In Pya Blanca, el Almacen de la Sal, and Lani´s Tapas in Marina Rubicón. In Cta Teguise don´t miss La Isla Bonita in Pya Bastian or Neptuno near the Hotel Teguise Playa. Good food in Monumento al Campesino or Castillo de San Jose. In Pto Calero, the incredible Amura could be the best restaurant on the island.
The countrysider.

Not wanting to be difficult but we are in danger of turning into the other place with all these in house discussion!s!! Can we keep it vaguely relevant?

Don't want to start sounding like the great hypocritical weather man but does make this place a little unapproachable if all discussion is "in house".

God I sound old!!

Did you go to the Galleria bar next to artista?

Brisas Marina I like for lunch - generally quite quiet there and for me do good simple salad, calamari and gambas. Never been for dinner and prob wouldn't - think its all a bit packed in down there and to be fair last few times we've eaten out less and less as I've got more adventurous on the barbie!
