H10 Paradise Island

The prices for there are barking at the moment. Reviews seem good - the main complaints are:

1. Too many Spaniards

2. Evening entertainment is in Spanish first and English second

3. There is far too much fresh fish in the restaurant for lunch and dinner so little Kylie had to eat nothing but chips fo a week, and shock horror, pigs trotter was on the menu one nights and when they complained the manager blatantly lied to them and told them it was considered a delicacy!!!

So far it's ticking a lot of boxes for the price. Any comments would be welcome.

Spaniards in Spain - disgusting!
Entertainment in Spanish as most of their clients are Spanish - horrific!
To much FRESH fish.... I don't believe it.... grinning smiley

What they need is a Travel Lodge with a built in Little Chef.... Can´t say I´ve noticed any here.

Without searching too many sites £425 for 4 for the week AI. At that price you can take or leave the AI!

it's a bit away from evrything up there though CG...I had a look around when I stayed at Jardines Del Sol just down the road...

Had the feeling of being a bit cramped...rooms may not be as good as the Arena and Iberostar...

Cheers SM,

Up where? They do run a regular courtesy bus to the centre. I wouldn't expect it to be up to tthose standards as it is only 3*, but on the plus side it is an appartment rather tahan a room - priced up the Iberostar and we were looking at £1500+, so gotta take in added value!

Will keep investigating different places as in no rush to book.

CG... CG... CG... sort your man out will you?

If you've got a bargain then tell that man of yours to wind his neck in - or you will remove all "privileges" with immediate effect!

Come on girl - sort the bugger out!

Okay... I know that no 1 and no 2 are too young for you to go for a villa. Erm... ok... I'll have a hunt and see what we can find too.

We are a stones throw from Paradise Island across the road at Los Claveles. The walk into town takes us about 15-20 min's if you go along the main road towards the petrol station. If you take the scenic route via flamingo beach it is about 30 min's. Usually a case of walk there and taxi back which as Will says is usually just shy of 3Euros. If you go the other way towards natura beach it is about 10-15 minutes.

The hotel is predominantly Spanish but no shortage of Brits either. The complex is nicer inside than the frontage would suggest but some of the facilities are a bit tired (damaged tennis court nets etc). Whenever we go in to use cash machine or quick game of pool I do cringe at the queues for mealtimes or worse still the line of people waiting at the bar for a drink. However most appear to be enjoying themselves, perhaps more patient than me.

At the right price though it has got to be better than staying at home. A week off work and in the sun for that price is v tempting.

Will have to have a look at packages later, at that price it could be better than booking flight only next time!

That price was for accomodation only - I've already got the flights booked.

CG

we got a great deal at the Iberstar Papagayo this year albeit thro' TC

the apartments are very spacious and you have the option of SC BB HB or AI

plenty to do for the children as well an just a short walk to Marina Rubicon

may be worth thinking of in the future...

it's a problem you get a good flight price then pay a premium for the rooms

I am sorry to ask, but what is the issue of having too many spaniards in the hotel?. After all, it is Spain..... And too much fresh fish is a complain?

I am a bit confused....

Why do that kind of people travel abroad if all they want to do is to be surrounded by British people and eat the same food they would have at home????

Exactly - that's why it was ticking my boxes, but if you look at this forum regularly you would see the number of folk who post asking where is the nearest McD/BK etc is 'cos little Chantelle wont eat anthing else etc.
